Employment and Labor Law Compliance

 

It has become increasingly difficult for employers to navigate the rapidly changing and complex area of employment and labor law. Workplace Investigations

 

Employers often receive complaints and allegations from employees relevant to discrimination, harassment, and retaliation. The law requires that employers act promptly to both investigate and respond to such complaints. However, it is equally important that investigations are conducted properly by an experienced investigator. We assist employers by conducting thorough, impartial investigations of employee complaints by reviewing the complaint, conducting interviews, reviewing relevant policies and documents, and preparing detailed reports for the employer with factual and/or legal findings. Employers can then identify workplace issues, take prompt remedial action where appropriate to enforce company policies, and reduce liability that can result from litigation.

It is critical that the terms and conditions of employment, relevant to compensation, benefits, expectations, and the protection of proprietary information, are clear to both employer and employee. Separation Agreements

 

We provide a thorough analysis of the facts surrounding an employee separation, with advice and recommendations regarding the amount of severance, protection of confidential and propriety information, and release language necessary to protect the company from potential claims.
